"I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God. who loved me and gave himself for me." ~ Galatians 2:20
Healing, preaching, teaching, followed by beatings, whippings, crucifixion and finally, resurrection.
By the grace of God these things have been made known to us.
We have been undeserving; for we have been corrupted and we have corrupted our children. We have lied, we have stolen, we have gossiped, we have murdered, we have cheated, we have dishonored our parents. We have sinned.
But by the grace of God, He has not counted these things against us. By the grace of God, He has given us choices. We have been blessed with options.
I choose love. I choose the savior who came down willingly, knowing what was to come. I choose the savior who thought of me as He was being tortured, and as He was dying. I choose the One who has washed away my sin with His own blood, though I still sin. I choose the path that allows me to become a better person, because I am His child. I choose the path that will have me running into His arms on that fateful day when I leave this earth.
The blessings we have been given, though we are undeserving... that is love. The ransom that has been paid, though we are undeserving... that is love. The choices we have been given, so that we may choose the path towards eternal salvation. We have been given knowledge of such a beautiful thing, and from that, faith has been made known to us. Now we can love others as God has loved us. If we believe these things, then we can never say we have not known love. Love is not defined by physical acts. Love is defined by our God. God is love. If we believe in Him wholeheartedly, so we believe in love. "Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love." - 1 John 4:7-8.
